  1. Verify the basics first. Fresh, correct coolant. A clean radiator, inside and out. A fan clutch that actually engages. A thermostat that opens fully and on time. Most "overheating" complaints are solved right here, before spending on anything exotic.
  2. Fix what is worn. Replace a tired thermostat, a leaking or clogged radiator, a lazy fan clutch, or a marginal water pump with quality parts. This is where the durable gains are.
  3. Then consider capacity upgrades. Only after the system is healthy does it make sense to look at a higher-capacity radiator or other capacity additions, if the truck genuinely exceeds stock cooling under its real workload.
