What It Does & How It Helps

The injector lines and connector tubes carry fuel from the rail or pump to each injector at very high pressure, and their sealing surfaces are machined cones that seal metal-to-metal. Once a line has been removed, over-torqued or corroded, that cone no longer seats and the joint weeps or whistles under pressure. Cracked, kinked or previously-disturbed lines are a common cause of hard starting, rough running and raw-fuel smell, and a leaking high-pressure joint is a genuine fire risk. Replacing the lines or connector tubes as a set restores a proper seal on every cylinder rather than chasing one leak at a time.
