2.0L TDI IPR Valve 1999-2005
Overview
This is an injection pressure regulator (IPR) valve for the Volkswagen, Audi 2.0L TDI diesel (1999-2005). Built to OEM specification and engineered as a direct-fit replacement for a professional-grade 2.0L TDI repair or service. Every order ships fast and is backed by our support team.
What It Does & How It Helps
On a HEUI injection system the injectors are fired by high-pressure ENGINE OIL rather than by a fuel rail, and the IPR valve is what meters that oil pressure. The ECM commands it to hold the pressure the injectors need to open — roughly 500 psi just to start, far more under load. When the IPR screen plugs, the valve sticks, or its seals harden with age and heat, the engine cannot build or hold injection control pressure: it cranks without starting, starts hard when cold, or falls on its face under throttle and logs an ICP or IPR duty-cycle fault. A correct replacement restores stable injection control pressure across the whole range.
