  3. Inspect under the valve covers for oil and evidence of leaking at the standpipes, dummy plugs, and the STC fitting once you are in there.
  4. Rule out the usual 6.0 gremlins. A tired high-pressure oil pump, injector issues, or the IPR valve can also affect pressure, so confirm the leak source rather than guessing.

The fix, done once

The repair means getting under the valve covers to access the standpipes and dummy plugs. Could this be my injectors instead of the standpipes? It can be, since 6.0 injectors have their own issues, including stiction. But the classic hard-hot-start with normal cold starts, combined with low ICP at startup, points at a high-pressure oil leak first. Confirm ICP before you condemn injectors.
